Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Marc Kenney & Jimmy Waters ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to kenneywatersmusic.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the practices described below.

We take your privacy seriously. We collect only what we need, we do not sell your data, and we give you control over analytics tracking through our cookie consent banner.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Mailing list sign-ups — your email address when you subscribe via the mailing list form on the homepage or in the footer.
  • Booking enquiries — your name, email address, phone number, event details, and any other information you include in the booking contact form.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics data — pages visited, time on page, referral source, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (city/country level), collected via Google Analytics 4 only after you accept the cookie consent banner.
  • Cookie consent preference — a record of whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, stored in your browser's localStorage under the key c2_analytics_consent.
  • Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) retained for security and operational purposes.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect anonymised usage data.

We operate a cookie consent banner. Analytics cookies are not loaded until you explicitly click "Accept". If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no tracking data is sent to Google.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage (key: c2_analytics_consent) or by clearing all cookies and site data for kenneywatersmusic.com. On your next visit the consent banner will reappear.

For more information on how Google uses data collected via GA4, visit: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How We Use Your Information

  • To send you show announcements, new music releases, and other updates you signed up for via the mailing list.
  • To respond to booking enquiries and coordinate event bookings.
  • To understand how visitors use the Site and improve its content and performance (analytics, only with consent).
  • To maintain the security and proper operation of the Site (server logs).

Sharing Your Information

We may share data with the following service providers solely to operate the Site:

  • GoDaddy Inc. — website hosting and infrastructure.
  • Airo (GoDaddy) — site builder platform that processes form submissions and mailing list sign-ups.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
